Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend

Every May, nearly 50,000 runners take over downtown Ottawa for Canada’s premier running festival—and it’s the perfect time to experience the energy of the city. 

Spectators line the scenic routes along the Rideau Canal and Ottawa River to cheer on participants in the marathon, half marathon, 10K, 5K, 2K and kids’ marathon. Throughout the weekend, downtown comes alive with live entertainment, a beer garden, and a vibrant health and fitness expo around Ottawa City Hall. 

With two World Athletics Gold Label events—the Scotiabank Ottawa Marathon and the Ottawa 10K—there’s no better time to be downtown.
