Spectating? Make a Day of It

Race day isn't just for athletes.

While you're cheering on friends or family, explore Downtown Ottawa's shops, cafés, patios, and attractions before returning to Parliament Hill to celebrate every finisher. Grab breakfast before the race, enjoy lunch on a patio, or settle in with a coffee while waiting to cheer on your athlete as they make their final push to the finish line.

Road Closures & Getting Around

To accommodate the race, several downtown roads will be closed or have temporary traffic restrictions throughout the weekend.

If you're planning to visit downtown, be sure to allow extra travel time and review the official race road closure map before heading out. Walking, cycling, and public transit may be the easiest ways to access Parliament Hill and nearby businesses during the event.

Celebrate Every Finish Downtown

The finish line may mark the end of the race, but the celebration continues throughout the core. From a well-earned meal to a cold drink with friends and family, the moments after crossing the finish line are just as memorable as the race itself.

Whether you're an athlete, a supporter, or experiencing IRONMAN for the first time, make Downtown Ottawa part of your race day experience.
